On July 23, 2023, the two-day third session of the "Vascular and Cardiac Disease Ultrasound Theory and Practice Expert Workshop" concluded successfully in Beijing.

This workshop adopted a comprehensive teaching approach, combining theoretical instruction, hands-on practical training, and direct interaction with experts. As a partner, Dawei Medical introduced three new products to support practical teaching during the workshop. These products included the all-touchscreen specialized ultrasound device DW-M9, the high-end portable bedside color ultrasound DW-P80, and the high-end laptop-style color ultrasound DW-L60, all of which were showcased at the workshop.

During the teaching session, Professor Wang Lianyi from the Department of Ultrasound at the First Affiliated Hospital of Tsinghua University provided a comprehensive and systematic explanation of ultrasound imaging of the heart. He covered common cross-sections and technical aspects of cardiac motion imaging, as well as the standard scanning methods for assessing cardiac function. Professor Wang also analyzed the characteristics of adult congenital heart diseases and discussed common cases for evaluation. The session concluded with a practical demonstration of cardiac ultrasound.

Following this, Professor Cui Jian from the Department of Ultrasound at the First Affiliated Hospital of Tsinghua University conducted practical demonstrations and provided guidance to the students. He demonstrated the fundamental requirements for performing cardiac ultrasound, common techniques, and how to address common issues. Specific guidance was given to students as they took turns to perform cardiac ultrasound examinations, and their operational issues were pointed out to help improve their techniques. The session concluded with a simple assessment, and evaluations were provided to the students.

On the following day, Professor Yong Qiang, the Deputy Director of Shunyi Maternal and Child Health Hospital at Beijing Children's Hospital, explained the ultrasound diagnostic approach to vascular diseases, ultrasound diagnosis of carotid artery diseases, and the ultrasound diagnosis of common lower limb arterial diseases. The session concluded with a practical demonstration of vascular ultrasound.

In the afternoon, Professor Zheng Chao from the Department of Ultrasound at Beijing Anzhen Hospital conducted practical demonstrations and provided guidance to the students. He demonstrated the fundamental requirements for performing vascular ultrasound, common techniques, and how to address common issues. Students took turns for guidance, and their operational issues were addressed to enhance their techniques. The session ended with a simple assessment, and evaluations were provided to the students.

Dawei Medical's ultrasound products, which supported the practical training during the workshop, received unanimous praise from the teachers and students for their high-quality, clear images and were recognized for their professional configuration in various aspects.
